This section guides you through your first successful request to the Change Discovery Service (CDS) API using the Integration environment.

The goal is to retrieve recommended inventory changes to scan, allowing you to optimize your discovery process from the very first call.

The Change Discovery Service (CDS) API is available in the following environments:

Integration Environment

Use this environment for development, testing, and integration validation before going live.

Characteristics:

• Non-production environment
• Data and inventory may be incomplete or simulated
• No SLA guarantees
• Suitable for functional testing and onboarding

Live Environment

Use this environment for production traffic.

• Live enviroment: https://api.hotelbeds.com/hotel-change-discovery-api/1.0/updates

Characteristics:

• Production-grade environment
• Real inventory and change recommendations
• SLA and monitoring enabled
• Intended for real-time scanning and live client usage

CDS have the next request operation for clients.

Hotel Maintenace

In this operation you can Add hotels or remove hotels from your portfolio, If the client wishes to manage the process themselves, or if they prefer to contact the HBX Group team, the hotel portfolio can be managed offline by contacting the assigned TAM.

Hotel change discovery

This operation is responsible for returning the combinations of changes that have occurred since the last update date.
