Change Discovery Service (CDS) API

The Change Discovery Service (CDS) API provides clients with recommendations on what inventory changes should be scanned, helping them focus only on the relevant updates.

Instead of scanning the full inventory blindly, CDS delivers a layer of inventory updates, enabling clients to retrieve accurate, useful, and timely changes in a more efficient way.

This service is designed to:

  • Improve the scanning experience and performance of live clients
  • Help cache-based clients migrate smoothly to a live scanning model
  • Reduce unnecessary scans, infrastructure load, and operational costs
  • Increase product coverage and availability, ultimately boosting sales

By consuming CDS, clients can optimize their discovery process, stay synchronized with inventory changes, and scale efficiently as inventory grows.

Getting Started with CDS

There are two simple steps before starting development with CDS API Suite:

  1. Need to be a client registered in Hotels API Suits with a valid and active apiKey. You can register here https://developer.hotelbeds.com/documentation/getting-started/
  2. Contact with our CTS team to configure your client account and portfolio to work with CDS API. HBX Group API Support: apitude@hotelbeds.com

Configuration parameters:

  • Client Credentials with a valid apiKey.
  • Hotels to be Included.
